runs by and gets the food here and hope you join us for that. an hour from now, the fox business network, the closer look at the elections, what's at stake and what it could mean for a power change in washington. see you then. >> welcome to the glenn beck program. i've been away for a week, miss me? the economy is not really looking any better. i wish it was, but i want to point out a couple of things that you need to know. the imf is selling gold like crazy and it's the smart money. can't believe i'm saying the smart money is in bangladesh, but it is, bangladesh, just bought ten metric tons, the reason, the central banks want to get away from what they're calling the unstable dollar so they're turning to gold. now, why, why would anyone think the american dollar wouldn't be the gold standard anymore? well, apparently a lot of people don't think that. treasuries dropped for the fourth day in a row. and poverty rate here in america jumped a record amount in just the last year. one in seven americans are now considered poor. it is the largest single jump since tracking began back i
and then the next thing using 9/11. i come to a weekend where i don't care anymore about what anybody says, what the press says or anything else, it's time to move on. they're in our rear view mirror and it's really becoming, i mean, almost sad. it really is. i want to start with the koran burning. i'm on a vacation, driggs idaho, going out to fish with my five-year-old son and a friend of mine and i hear a call from the house, honey, the pakistani ambassador wants you to denounce the koran burnings. i'm like, what? hello? well, my response was tell him i already did two days ago. and i'm going fishing now. it was bizarre. that's one of the only things i commented on on the blaze.com, was the koran burning. i mean, what an idiot. what an idiot. there are things you can do in america, but things you shouldn't do in america. well, as it turns out, the idiot down in florida didn't do it. so why? well, because i think in the end people are good and people just need an excuse to be good. they just need to be shown how to do good and go i have an excuse to do good. i don't know if that guy is any good
warned us about. well, there is good news. there was so many complaints that were pouring in to washington and the g.o.p., they were not stupid. they started looking at it going wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. the g.o.p. back tracked and now they're going to back her. yet another victory for the tea party. you have done it. you have done it right way. you haven't globed on to some labor union. you haven't tied yourself to big money or special interest groups. your moms and dads, despite what nancy pelosi says, this is a legitimate grass roots movement that didn't try to trick the american people in to a general jingoistic name for their group. like america, the successful and happy america to hide behind. you have done it, really, the way that the name suggests center for american progress or center for the american way, those names suggest really this. honesty. decency. just people coming together. it is the equivalent of david and goliath. you're up against everyone in this country with power and you won! because you are upfront about what you believe. see, i have this cra
not less. but let's use this as a learning opportunity, don't shut them down, let them speak, but what is the message and who is involved, not speculation, not future news, from them, who is involved and who are they proud to stand next to. find out, maybe more than you want to know, next. hello america. i-- i'm glad you're here tonight. i want to have a conversation with you, but i want to have a reasoned conversation because quite honestly, i feel stupid when i say communist, a few years ago, i didn't think that-- i wouldn't have believed half of this stuff. i don't want to believe it now. during the election 2008 some people were questioning whether or not barack obama were a socialist. there were some strong evidence, his past association and his own words. >> i think that there was a tendency to lose track of the political and community organizing and activities on the ground that are able to put together the actual coalitions of power through which you bring about redistributed change. everybody's so tense that business is bad for everybody. i think when you spread the wealth aro
be transparent and tell us how and why they're making the decisions. the troops are in iraq and afghanistan except now they're military advisors, which i'm pretty sure is what we did at vietnam and that didn't work out well. we have states and cities going broke and they're firing police officers and firemen, teachers first, when there is other stuff to cut. why? transparency. can someone tell us why? more people are on government assistance. homeless is up 50%. economy is tanking. unemployment is still high, and yet we are making decisions that don't make any sense. all i'm trying to do is figure out how are we making these decisions. the people who are informing us, or who are supposed to inform us, keep america informed on everything that is going on, they can't even figure out what this is. they are still going i don't understand what is happening. maybe, maybe i should start speaking slower. this is about honor. how are we going to fix things when they can't even understand faith, hope and charity? the weird thing is that they understood this hope. i didn't understand it. did you under
